Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Harriette W. Robinson was born in Fort Edwards, New York on May 13, 1905. She moved to Walla Walla, Washington in 1917 and attended Walla Walla High School. She married Lee P. Robinson in 1922, and they had four children, Harriette, Dorothy, Phyllis, and Richard. She was active in the White Temple Baptist Church, Blue Mountain Rock Hound Society, Fort Walla Walla Museum, and participated in antique shows at the Pasco Armory. She died on September 3, 2005.
Lee P. Robinson was born in 1892 in Faribault, Minnesota. In 1909, the family moved to Hover, Washington. Lee and his two brothers went to work on the U.S. Corps of Engineers vessel, USS Umatilla, which was dredging the Columbia River. Lee was hired as a deck boy in August 1909. He married Harriette Livermore 1922. Robinson ran the Robinson Singer Sewing Machine Shop in Walla Walla, Washington. He died on August 28, 1966 at age 74.
