Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Louise Van Doren Ward was born (in Illinois?) in 1839 and grew up in the Green River Valley, Wash. She married George W. Ward in 1862. Together they took an interest in the Baptist Japanese Mission in Seattle, which began in 1892. They seemed to have functioned as deacons in the Mission.
