Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Financier.

Guy C. Myers was born in 1896. He was a financier and promoter active in the public power movement in Nebraska and the Pacific Northwest. As fiscal agent for public power organizations he negotiated the purchase of private utilities, and undertook financing of new power projects beginning with the Skagit Project of Seattle Lighting Department in 1934. Most of his work was done in collaboration with Robert W. Beck and Associates, engineering consultants, and with Houghton, Cluck and Coughlin, a Seattle law firm for Washington projects. He died in 1960.
