- This collection documents logging activities and shingle mill operations around Washington State. The photographs date from around 1888 to 1940 and depict individuals, equipment and operations at the Grady Lake and Marona shingle mills, and Jameson and Tate logging camps. There are also a few images of local buildings and construction projects, including the Whatcom County Courthouse, the First National Bank in New Whatcom, the Bellingham Armory, and a dry dock in Bremerton.
