Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Curtis Beattie (1946-2007) grew up in the Montake neighnorhood in Seattle, attending Garfield and Roosevelt High Schools and graduating from the University of Washington's School of Architecture in 1969. Early in his career he worked for Chester L. Lindsey Architects in Seattle, where he gained experience in commercial architecture. Beattie struck out on his own in 1981, doing business as Curtis Beattie and Associates, working on office and residential buildings, as well as retail projects in Seattle as other Northwest cities. Notable projects include Metropolitan Park North, One Pacific Tower, Washington Tower in Vancouver, Bellevue Paicifc Center and Chandler's Cove at South Lake Union.
