Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Lottie Roeder (1864-1933) was born in Whatcom County, Washington Territory to Henry Roeder. Capt. Henry Roeder helped found Bellingham upon discovering coal off the northeastern shore of Bellingham Bay. Lottie Roeder went on to marry Charles Roth, writing a two-volume History of Whatcom County published in 1926.
