Magnolia Community Club is a neighborhood organization founded in 1924. It serves as a public awareness entity that attempts to provide support and a forum for Magnolians who wish to address current local, county, state and federal issues that impact our neighborhood. The club also maintains an archives and writes articles.
The legal files were created by Joe Haggard, an attorney for the club.

Biographical/Historical Note: The Carleton Park Improvement Club was founded on March 25, 1924. The organization's October 11, 1932 meeting minutes note it "held its last meeting under that name." The next entry in the record book notes, "The first meeting of the reorganized Magnolia Community Club was held at the Magnolia School Tuesday evening Nov. 8th 1932." The exact relation of the Magnolia Bluff Improvement Club to the CPIC/MCC is unknown, but a January 7, 1926 Seattle Times article notes that the MBIC and CPIC selected a site on which to build a joint clubhouse.
Scope and Content: Minutes, correspondence, and other records of the Magnolia Community Club and its predecessor groups Carleton Park Improvement Club and Magnolia Bluff Improvement Club. MCC newsletters, 1990s-2000s. Copies of 1976 MCC publication "Magnolia: Yesterday and Today" and related documents. Project files for civic issues addressed by Club.

Scope and Content: Foreword:"The purpose of this volume is to preserve records and
correspondence that supplement the secretarial records of Magnolia Community
Club from its beginning March 1924 as Carlton [sic] Park Improvement Club. In
1932 the club enlarged its boundaries and re-organized under the name of
Magnolia Community Club. Hence these records, together with books of minutes of
