Folk tale
A tall tale about the toughness of two local families: cowhand from first family rides bear with chain for bridle and rattlesnake for a whip, then he downs a whole pot of coffee but can't stay to talk with sheepherder because he is being pursued by cowboy from second family (who's apparently even tougher)
Humorous tale about ignorant farm carting his sow in a wheelbarrow to neighbor's farm for services of the farmer's boar
Other Narrative: Local tales and anecdotes from Condon, Oregon
Story about a man who gets the best of a game warden who is unliked in the area. Game warden checks man with deer in bottom of canyon; can't find his tag and gets the warden, who had ticketed him, to carry the deer up out of the canyon. Hunter then finds license and tag, and reclaims the deer
Story of fisherman who gives his limit of fish to another man and then catches the man lying to his friends about his big catch
Bill Rush elk hunting - the difficulty in getting the elk killed
Man kills bear and is then observed in act of sodomy with dead bear, then takes care of witness
