Content DescriptionReturn to Top

Three-page memoir titled "Reminiscences from Childhood and Adolescence" in which Goykhman tells the story of his youth in Bessarabia (now known as Moldova). His family, like many other Jewish families in Eastern Europe, was greatly impacted by events of the first half of the 20th Century, including the Russian Revolution and World War II. During the second World War, Goykhman served in the Soviet army against Germany, while his family evacuated to another part of the Soviet Union to escape German troops moving through Bessarabia.
