Jeanette Schrieber, a resident of Seattle since 1939, has been a participant in numerous Seattle Jewish organizations. Much of her work has been connected with religious education. As chairman of the Religious School Committee at Temple Beth Am, she was instrumental in establishing Beth Am's religious school. She also served as advisor to the youth group, Seattle Young Judea, when it was affiliated with Canadian Young Judea. As Youth Activities chairman for both the Seattle Chapter of Hadassah and the North Pacific Coast Region, she helped in 1969 to form Hashachar, a youth activities program and successor to Young Judea. Jeanette is married to Albert Schrieber, UW Business School Professor. The following is a list of the organizations she was active in: founding member of Temple Beth Am, 1956; Seattle Young Judea, 1963-64; Seattle Chapter of Hadassah, and North Pacific Coast Region; Mizrachi Women's Organization of America; Jewish Federaton and Council of Greater Seattle; Jewish Family and Child Service, and Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
