Biographical Note
John W. Hotson joined the University of Washington Department of Botany in 1914 after receiving his Ph.D. from Harvard University. He initiated the fungal herbarium at the University of Washington in support of his research interests as a mycologist and pathologist.
Content Description
Course files, glass slides.
Includes research notes, publications, clippings, drawings, and photographs related to Hotson's interest in pathology, mycology, rusts, and Agaricaceae. A number of glass negatives document his work with a variety of bulbiferous fungi.
