Historical BackgroundReturn to Top
The Bracket H Ranch in Loomis, Washington was formed in 1922 by Herbert Conner Talbott and Herbert S. Conner Jr. as a cattle ranch. For a time, it became a ranch-themed youth camp attended by the sons of prominent Seattle families such as the Blethens, the Freemans and the Kinnears. The Bracket H Ranch was sold to the Washington State Game Department in 1940, and was eventually incorporated into what is now known as the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area.
