Incoming letter (unsigned copy), July 1916; cover letter of Lydia McCutchen, 1964.
Includes covering letter written by Miss McCutchen explaining the situation at the University at the time of Dr. Hart's dismissal. H.P. Torrey was a professor at Reed College, Portland, and was chairman of a three-man committee to investigate Hart's dismissal. The letter was written by "a personal friend and former student of Dr. Hart."
