  • Accession No. 3592-001: Ome Daiber interview and lecture, 1974-1975

    .06 cubic foot (2 60-minute sound cassettes)

    Scope and Content: Tape recorded interview conducted by Karyl Winn and Harry Majors on 21 Nov 1974; tape recorded lecture on 26 Jan 1975.

    Topics include a rescue on Mt. McKinley, surveying in St. Elias range, and Clark Schurman (a Boy Scout troop leader). Other topics apparently discussed in interview but not on the tape include Clark Schurman and his planning for Camp Long and Monitor Rock, a rescue on the north face of Mt. Baring, the Mountain Rescue Council and the Brothers. The lecture is on mountaineering and was delivered in an Arctic course.
