The Thielsen family of Prussia and of America includes the following members: Bune Thielsen of Flensburg, Prussia, who was captain of a Flensburg merchant vessel; his son Hans Thielsen, who came to Oregon as chief engineer for the railroads of Ben Holladay and later held the same position under Henry Villard of the Northern Pacific Railroad Co.; Hans Thielsen's sons, Henry B. and Horace W., who were also employed by railroad companies, and son, Julius, who worked for the Multnomah Steet Railway Co.
