Collection includes 120 glass lantern slides (some hand colored) covering a variety of subjects in the fields of history, the arts, and sociology. Most of the slides were produced by the Amusement Supply Company in Chicago; some are broken. Images include: advertising slides for early motion pictures; New York scenes covering various social issues such as orphans, tenement living, working conditions, saloons, shoeshine boys, etc.; San Francisco Fire of 1906; Civil War scenes; a series entitles "Down on the Farm". All circa 1900-1920.
