Biographical NoteReturn to Top
David Howard has been active in Washington conservation issues since the late 1960s. He has been a legislative contact for several groups, particularly the Washington Environmental Council. He was secretary of the Nisqually Delta Association. Howard was also associated with groups concerning forest protection, circa 1968-1975; Initiative 325 (a statewide nuclear safeguards campaign in 1976); and a Citizens Advisory Committee for the Lacey Olympia Tumwater Thurston County Sewer System, 1983-1988.

Scope and Content: Correspondence, court papers, minutes, position papers, reports, notes, ephemera, and legislative materials from the Washington Environmental Council; and concerning the Nisqually Delta Association at the time of a controversy over a proposed industrial park and port in the Nisqually Delta.
