Series III: Research Files, 1932-1985 Return to Top
This series contains research files collected by Steve Waldron during his tenure in the Montana State Legislature and are organized by subject (following his original headings). Files in this series contain a mix of legislative bills (both marked-up and final copies), Waldron's handwritten notes, transcriptions of testimony, and legislative staff reports. Most materials relate directly to bills before the Legislature (often bills that received attention across several sessions); however, some files concern topics of interest to Steve Waldron that never reached the level of formal legislative introduction. These materials provide insights into the internal workings of the Montana Legislature and Steve Waldron's focal issues.
