Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Frank Alexander Stewart (born 1843) came to Oregon in 1854. He attended Belpassi Academy in Marion County, settled in Gold Beach in 1865, became a sheep farmer in 1877 and was a Republican representative from Curry County in the Oregon Legislature in 1893 and 1895. He married Hattie Riley in 1867, and later married her sister, Lara Riley, in 1872.
