The interview concerns Mr. Robbins' recollections of his childhood neighborhood on Cherry Street, near 27th Avenue. The interview covers the stores, Madrona Theater, the Shul, and Temple de Hirsch. Robbins recalls such persons as his father, grandfather (Abraham Steinberg), the shoe repairman, and institutions, such as Talmud Torah.
