Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Carl Madsen Bradt (1857-1864) was born in Denmark as the sixth child of seven to Mads Madsen Bradt and Annie Neilsen. During 1867 to 1873, Bradt worked as a herdsman of sheep and cattle. Later in 1873, he became a wagon and carriage maker. In 1877, Bradt joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). On 16 March 1882, he married Mary Harder. She passed away in 1886. Bradt then married Annie Crane on 30 November 1887. Bradt served three LDS missions to Denmark during the 1900s.
