The collection consists of two interviews conducted by Lorraine McConaghy for the Seattle Center Foundation with Ewen Dingwall and Paul Thiry concerning their impressions of the development of the Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World's Fair) and subsequent Seattle Center. Ewen Dingwall's interviews took place on May 28, 1991 and August 6, 1991. Paul Thiry's interviews took place on November 1, 1991.

Interview with Ewen C. Dingwall, known as the mastermind of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. He started his
career at the Seattle Municipal League, the Washington Research Council, and served as an assistant to Mayor William
Devin. He was appointed Vice President and Executive Director of the Century 21 Exposition and Executive Director of
the Seattle Civic Center Advisory Board.

Interview with Paul Thiry, the principal architect of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair and a major proponent
of architectural modernism in the Pacific Northwest. He designed the Washington State Pavilion (now Key Arena), MOHAI's
former home in Montlake, and the Frye Art Museum.
