Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The Pitts Elmore Photographs consist of four images of campus scenes and buildings. They include the Trysting Tree, the entrance to Waldo Hall, and the entrance to Apperson (now Kearney) Hall -- all taken in the spring of 1922. An image of the front of Apperson Hall after a snowstorm in the winter of 1921-1922 is also included.

Several duplicate prints of the Trysting Tree image (made in the 1980s or 1990s) are part of this collection. The original glass negative for the Trysting Tree photograph is part of the Sydney Trask Photographic Collection (P096:009).
