Eddie Hasson was the President of the Samis Foundation at the time of the interview. He is the nephew of Sam Israel.

Tape recorded interview covering the years 1898-1999, taken on November 15, 2000; transcript, copies of naturalization certificates
The interview concerns Mr. Hasson's uncle Sam Israel. Mr. Hasson talks about Sam's early life on the island of Rhodes, his emigration to the United States, and the founding of the Samis Foundation. He also talks about Mr. Israel's work making shoes for the United States military during World War II, and his support of the Seattle Hebrew Academy.
