Historical Note
The King County Nurses Association is the professional nursing association of King County, Washington. The organization was established in 1903 as the King County Graduate Nurses Association. It is linked closely on the state and national levels with the Washington State Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Its membership currently comprises about 2,000 registered nurses.
Content Description
The collection contains photographs documenting the King County Nurses Association 50th Anniversary Dinner of 1954, the Washington State Nurses Association 50th Annual Convention of 1955, and the King County Nurses Association Annual Meeting of 1959. Also pictured is a demonstration by Mrs. Betty Harrop, a Red Cross first aid instructor.
