Content DescriptionReturn to Top
The certificate of inspection, dated June (or January?) 8th, 1896, was issued by the Oregon State Board of Horticulture. Waterhouse's nursery stock was inspected and passed muster.
The letter, dated October 6, 1896, is from A. T. Webb, of Webb Sage and Lock company, commending Waterhouse on his cherry crop. Webb related that he had kept the boxes of cherries for two months, even travelling with them, and states that "the Waterhouse is a wonderfully good keeping cherry."
Also in the collection is a printed temperance poem by Waterhouse, titled "A Terrible Picture," undated.
