Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Thursday Inquiry Club was a women's club in Walla Walla, Washington founded in 1916. It was a companion to the all men's Inquiry Club, and had up to eighteen members at a time. Both clubs had a similar meeting format and laws, wherein club members presented papers and programs that reflected the club's goal to "cultivate intellect in the sciences and liberal arts and social enjoyment."
Meetings took place on the first and third Thursdays of each month in the homes of members. Guests were also invited to give presentations at club meetings. Members included prominent women of the community. The Thursday Inquiry Club remained active in Walla Walla until the early 1970s.
