Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Sheryl Larsen Allen began her career by serving as President of the Davis Board of Education From 1982-1990. She later served as member of the Utah House of Representatives representing the 19th District from 1994-2010. In 2010, the democratic gubernatorial candidate, Peter Corroon, selected Allen as his running mate for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Utah making them the first bipartisan ticket in the state of Utah's history. Allen has also presided on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations in Utah, includeding KUED; Real Women Run; and Alliance for a Better Utah. A champion of women's equality and ethics, she has served as Chair of the Utah Women's Forum as well as the WSU Richards Institute for Ethics.
Sheryl Allen is married to John C. Allen and they have four children.
