Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The photographs in this collection document the early nursing career in the U.S. Army of Flora Stewart Bennion and much of her surrounding environments around the time of World War I. The images deal with an early Salt Lake hospital and then progress into a scrapbook with several army field hospitals in the United States and then in World War I Europe. Included are several documents of recognition, passports, money, and patches and medals earned in military service. The photographs and the scrapbook are very old and in fragile condition.
