This collection contains 24 black and white photographic negatives and 24 black and white prints. The photographs were taken in 1900-1910 by Howard W. Patterson, in the area of Rock Lake, in Whitman County, Washington. The images depict life in a mostly rural, agrarian area during the early twentieth century. Subjects include wheat harvesting and threshing, railroads, daily life, and steamboats.
