Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ted Dracos was a photojournalist who published Ungodly, a book about Madalyn Murray O'Hair. He also wrote an article for Seattle Weekly in January 1977 on the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, and was one of few people (and possibly the only person) to be allowed to photograph there. Following that article, Dracos produced more work, including writings and documentaries, on state and federal prison systems, including profiles of death penalty cases in California and documentaries on the youngest offender to be incarcerated in the Texas prison system.
