Historical NoteReturn to Top

H. D. Goode was born and raised in New Jersey and enlisted with the Army Signal corps during World War II. He served two tours in Europe spending most of his time as a long distance telephone and teletypewriter engineer. During 1949 he worked for the United States Geological Survey, and in 1962 accepted the offer of an associate professorship at the University of Utah. He taught geology, the interpretation of aerial photographs, ground water studies, field geology, and several seminar courses. He also did consulting work.
