The photos taken in Ontario, Oregon. Albany college's halladay school of flying, sponsored by the Civil Aeronautics Authority during the transition from Albany to Fir Acres. Halladay school of flying ran throughout the second World War.
The Photos were donated to Lewis & Clark by Dr. Hugh R. and Shirley K. Harcourt. Obtained by their friendship with Dr. Morgan and Ruth Odell. Dr. Morgan was the president of Lewis & Clark from 1941 until 1960. Dr. Odell's leadership allowed Albany College to transition from Albany to Fir Acres, expand their enrollment from 145 to 1,200 students, and kept the college financially stable through the second world war. Halladay school of flying was a major part of financing the college throughout the second world war
