Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Robert Joe Foster (1924-2008) grew up in Southern California, and earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech, Ph.D 1952). He joined the faculty at Washington State College in 1955, and was associated with the Chemistry department as well as the Institute of Biological Chemistry, the Agricultural Chemistry department, and the Program in Biochemistry/Biophysics. He was a Fulbright Fellow in Copenhagen, Denmark during the 1970-1971 academic year. He retired from Washington State University in 1988.
