Aline's husband, Virgil Joseph Smith, is the son of Jennie Teasdale and Joseph Frederick Smith. Virgil and Aline had only on son who died in 1969. Jennie Teasdale Smith was the daughter of LDS Church apostle George Teasdale.

The Jennie Teasdale Smith papers (1893-1910) contains three copies of Jennie Teasdale's patriarchal blessing, 1904-1910; a Brigham Young Academy certificate, 1905; "Resolutions of Respect" for the death of Matilda E. P. Teasdale, black card, 1893; and genealogy sheets.
