Historical NoteReturn to Top
Seattle Junior Theatre was formerly Seattle Junior Programs. In 1939, the Seattle Junior League, which had been touring an annual play to the public schools for years, joined with two Seattle women to form Seattle Junior Programs, Inc. At the end of the 1970s the name was changed to Seattle Junior Theatre. On August 27, 1984 it merged with the Young ACT Company, a division of A Contemporary Theatre (ACT).
