Born in Seattle ca. 1903, Hermine Rosenblatt Margolies was the elder daughter of Wallace and Carrie (Frauenthal) Rosenblatt. Hermine's maternal grandfather, Samuel Frauenthal, was a successful business owner, and ran the Frauenthal Bros. general store in Seattle.
