- Nina L. Faubion (1884-1945) was a writer, artist, and amateur mycologist, and also worked as secretary to her father, Senator (and also Mayor) Harry Lane of Oregon. The collection (1887-1938) contains Faubion correspondence and an unpublished manuscript, as well as Harry Lane correspondence and a scrapbook.

Nina L. Faubion (1884-1945) was a writer, artist and amateur mycologist. She was the daughter of Senator Harry Lane of Oregon, and also worked as his secretary in Washington, D.C.
Harry Lane was also superintendent of the Oregon State Insane Asylum, and Mayor of Portland.

The collection (1887-1938) contains Faubion correspondence and an unpublished manuscript about her views of Congress and Washington, D.C., and also a scrapbook of Harry Lane and his correspondence regarding Oregon State Insane Asylum, letters from when he was Mayor of Portland, and other political correspondence.
Faubion correspondence includes twenty letters to and from Nan Wood Honeyman, 1936-1938.
Her unpublished manuscript, "Undiplomatic Relations," is also included. It describes Congress and official Washington as she saw it between 1915 and 1917.
Harry Lane correspondence (1879-1917) includes:
letters concerning Lane's appointment as superintendent of the Oregon State Insane Asylum, 1887;
letters to Nina Lane, 1906-1908, written while Harry Lane was mayor of Portland;
twenty-four letters to and from Seneca Smith, 1913-1915;
other letters and documents concern Senator Lane's stand on the armed neutrality bill (1917), "Indian Testimony," and include two letters from Lute Pease;
and single letters from Jesse Applegate (1888), and Timothy W. Davenport (1910).
There is also scrapbook regarding Harry Lane and the political issues of the day.
