Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Glenn Kalena Silva is a professor of Hawaiian language and the former director of Ka Haka 'Ula O Ke'elikolani College of Hawaiian Language at UH Hilo. He teaches his students that Hawaiian is a living and evolving language and relates historical language resources to contemporary times. In 2013, he earned the Regents' Medal for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Hawai'i.
