Seven (7) albums and one (1) folder of photographs and papers relating to Ruby L. Archambeau of Portland, Oregon. Album 1: "The Cruise of the Rubyacht," including photographs and postcards relating to Archambeau's auto trip from Portland across the U.S. and back in 1916-1917. Album 2: Album with no title including snapshots of the Lewis & Clark Exposition in Portland, the University of Oregon in Eugene, and travels throughout California. Album 3: Album with leather cover and picture of a Native American, including postcards of Yellowstone Park, Salt Lake City, Oregon locales, and others. Album 4: Album with no title, including snapshots from Jacksonville, Illinois, The Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, 1904, Niagara Falls, and other locales across the U.S. Album 5: titled "Photographs," includes photographs from Columbia River area, Tillamook head, beach scenes, ships and sailboats in San Francisco Bay, Los Angeles, Florida, and other locales. Album 6: titled "Postal Souvenirs," contains ca. 626 postcards and 48 photographs, most depicting locales in Europe, probably collected by Archambeau on trip in 1910. Album 7: Titled "Ruby L. Archambeau," contains ca. 527 photographs ca. 1913-1921, including images of the Tacoma auto races (1913) and locales throughout Oregon, Washington, California, and Canada. Folder: includes 15 photographs of Archambeau and room interiors, correspondence, elevations and floor plans (4 leaves) for "Tinker Bell Dell," home in Riverdale area of Portland, designed for Archambeau by Otis Josselyn Fitch, and signed photographs of entertainment personalities.
