In 1912 Iota Nu became a fraternity at the University of Montana in Missoula. The fraternity received its national charter as Phi Sigma Kappa in 1923.

This collection of records from Phi Sigma Kappa of the Montana State University (now the University of Montana-Missoula) includes six volumes. The first holds minutes for the fraternity from 1912 to 1915 when it was Iota Nu and continues through 1923. Four volumes include clippings with a few photos for the years from 1930 to 1942 and 1947 to 1953. The final volume has the names and dates of events with lists of attendees for 1942 to 1950.
