James Milo Nosler was born in 1843, and died in 1886. He served as a Union soldier during the Civil War, was a farmer and merchant in the Mississippi Valley, traveled the overland journey to the Pacific Northwest, 1870; and was a pioneer in Oregon, Whitman County, Washington, California and Spokane, Washington.
