- Louis Wambsgans emigrated from Bavaria in 1853 and settled with his wife and children in Dayton, Oregon, in 1893. Collection includes correspondence from Wambsgans family members to Magdalena (Lena) Wambsgans Lumm; correspondence from William Lumm to Lena Lumm regarding his work as a steamboat captain on the Columbia River; and correspondence from George Lindahl to Josephine Lumm regarding his activities at Stanford University. Also includes copies of six photographs of members of the Lumm family, plus genealogical information.
