Content DescriptionReturn to Top
Tape-recorded interview conducted by Adina Russak and Deborah Lipstadt, on 11/5/78, includes transcript.
Dov Lorber was about 19 years old in 1939 when the Russians were on their way to invade Poland. He tells about being a Jewish "resistance" fighter with other Jews and Russians who hid in a forest in the Ukranian area of Russia. Dov lived in Milan, Italy, and worked for the Jewish Zionist movement for Bricha. His exploits during the war are mentioned in "Die Yiddishe und der Partisane Bewegung in Sowiet Russland" by Moishe Kagonovich. Authors Hemhayou Rabin and Komtarovicz have also written about Dov's exploits.
