Biographical Note
Dr. Fernando V. Padilla was the director of the Chicano Studies Department at Washington State University during the 1970s, and later a professor in the Comparative American Cultures Department. He studied the cultural and legal recognition of Chicanos in the United States. WSU annually awards the Fernando V. Padilla Addendum to the Gabriel Cardenas Memorial Award Endowment.

This collection contains papers and audio recordings collected and/or produced by Fernando V. Padilla, a professor at Washington State University. The collection also contains correspondence and reports concerning the Washington State University Office of Community Development, as well as funding proposals for computer processing courses.
