Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ron and Diana (Green) Schneeweiss were both born in Capetown, South Africa. They married in South Africa, then moved to Israel in 1964 where Ron finished his residency training and served in the Israel Defense Forces for three years. They moved to Seattle in 1977 where Ron joined the Department of Family Medicine at University of Washington.

The Schneeweiss's discuss growing up in the Jewish community in Capetown, South Africa, particularly their participation in Habonim, a Zionist Jewish youth group. They also recount their time living in Israel outside Tel Aviv.
