Historical NoteReturn to Top
The Happy Home Church was built on property near Deer Park, Washington donated by David Enman around 1916. It was originally an American Baptist Church as there was none in the area at the turn of the century. The name Happy Home came from one of the founding members who’s former church on the East Coast bore the same name. Over the years various pastors ministered to the Happy Home Church. In 1946 the First Baptist Church in Spokane, Washington sent ministers to help in the work. In 1968 the American Sunday School Union (A. M. F.) restarted the work at Happy Home. In 1978 Dave and Esther Babb donated adjoining property to the Church on which future expansion is contemplated. In the most recent years pastors have been provided through the A. M. F. and Northwest Independent Church Extension (N. I. C. E.). The present file (September 2001) consists mostly of the history of the Church.
