Biographical Note

Mr. Trumbull was an early Northwest climber who made the first ascent of the Brothers (South Peak) in 1910. He was also a chemistry professor at the UW and climbed with UW faculty and students. He was not associated with the Mountaineers.

    Scope and Content: An account of Wilderness Hikes with Pack in Western Washington.

    Mr. Trumbull made the first ascent of the Brothers in 1912. His account of Wilderness Hikes, along with his photograph album is documentation of his trip.

    Processing Info: The photograph album mentioned has been transferred to the Visual Materials collection in Special Collections, UW Libraries under Photograph Collection 1221.
