Jacob and Margaretha (Kunz) Tueller moved from Switzerland to the United States in 1883 after converting to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Around 1890, they settled in the Thomas Fork Valley (near present-day Geneva, Idaho) with their nine children (David, Rudolph, Annie, Edward, Joseph, Christian, Jacob, Gottlieb, and John). Jacob Tueller, along with his sons and brother, built the Paris, Idaho tabernacle as well as regional historic homes and projects built from stone.
