  • 10: My Youngest sister "Eva" at the neighbors. Back-ground "the house where I was born" - the bay window in the front room were the organ, later the piano, and bed for 3, which led into mother's and father's room (with sanitary couch for 2 or 3 "little ones"). The front porch led into the dining room, kitchen, bedroom where the two boys slept. I well remember (at 78) the shanty, the well, the granary, pigpen, stable, barn, hay loft, etc. Farther north is, part of Uncle Jones' house and barn, and Uncle Oscar's barn in far left.
  • 11: Among the admirers were her two sisters - Lizzie, age 12, and Ivia, age 8, and two little brothers - Charlie, age 6, and Lester, age 3.
